ya bitting sucks ass, it hurts like nobody's business. So does tha tpulling without unlatching, youch! For the biting, it's easiest to do it while they ar ein the cradle position. When they start to bite, you draw them in closer to you momentarily. I did it only long enough to say "Logan, do not bite mommmy". And then back out. By pulling them in they feel their nose being covered, which they automatically unlatch to breath. You don't hold them in long enough to even miss a breath,it's literally one or two seconds, jus tlong enough for them to go - WHat's going on? and unlatch. After afew times of this, Logan gets the picture and stops biting. Also, I can sometimes catch him changing his latch as he gets ready to bite - he makes it a bit more shallow. If they ar elatche don perfectly, then technically they cna't bite, but logan's never been a technical latcher anyways ;) Hopefully your girl never becomes a biter!
i was surprised you didn't mention PCOS. that alone is often a negative tick in women's minds. it was in mine... thinking "I have PCOS so i probably won't be able to nurse" or other such negative thoughts.
That was seriously a great story though, thank you for sharing with us!
You know, I thought to mention PCOS, but I can honestly say it never concerned me. I had such confidence I could do this that I wouldn't doubt myself before it happened. But now..lol, i worry about a flare up of symptoms and my PCOS all the time :p GO figure ;)
