My mummy is dead.

She passed at 10:34 this morning. We had decided that with everything cascading downward, the kindest thing to do was to let her go. We were waiting for a dilaudid drip, to make sure she felt no discomfort what-so-ever, and then we were going to turn down the one med that was keeping her pressure up and heart going. Love, light, a life time of happy memories to be lived out over and over again. New things to do with new people in a bright and shining place without fear or doubt to drag us down.

That's what I think was waiting for her.

For those of us left behind, the pain of loss must be endured. It is a terrible and painful battle. You will always miss her but as time goes by you will find yourself hurting less, loving more, and yes. Still missing.

This of all times is one that I regret being so far away. You second family, one that loves you no less than your first, is here for you in what manner we can be.

I know all too well that at the moment it does not seem that way, but trust your Kolya when he says, "It'll be alright, Love."

I'm so sorry :( I know you will miss her. At least now her pain is gone, and you know you did everything possible to make her passing easier on her. She died knowing she was loved, and knowing she wasn't alone. That's a gift that a lot of people can only wish for. Now it's time to heal YOU and your family as much as possible.

If you need to talk or vent or anything, we're all here for you.

So sorry for your loss.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
