It's depressing actually, the way things change so quickly between people. I barely recognize my friends from high school. They still make the same jokes and like the same food and wear the same style of clothes, but somehow they've changed, somehow I don't know them. Just remember that you have to make your own fun. It's possible to enjoy yourself and enjoy a circle of that type of friend, as long as you have other types that you enjoy for different reasons. (More intellectual, etc.)

Yeah... Been there alright. There will always be gaps between you and old buddies to some extent, but it does get better as everyone matures. You are very... ahead of most people your age. I'm sure when you get to your mid-twenties a lot of them will finally be settling/settled down, getting an idea of what they want to do with their lives, having more sense in general, and as that happens they'll become easier to talk to again. I've recently been getting back in touch with a lot of old high school friends, and it's much easier to relate to them now than it was a couple of years ago.

Sad to say, at least for me, it has stayed that way and I don't expect it to change and I'm having my 10-year reunion this summer.

It gets better. You will eventually fall in with people from whom you can be apart for years and when you meet up agian it is as though you never left. Maybe you have already met them and won't know it yet till you get back together after you of they leave.
