Concentration Camp

Jun 05, 2005 00:04

Some call it the SAT; I call it "five agonizing hours of forced concentration," and after this morning, I'm more than justified in doing so.

Answer me this: How will my ability to take a test help me solve problems, succeed in a job or be happy? *shakes fist at the sky* Oh, the injustice of it all!!!

Its not supposed to help you - its designed to help colleges figure out how intelligent you are. (Waste of time really...all they'd have to do is ask me. I could fill them in _real_ quick:)

Okay, lesson in Naomi logic:
good standardized test scores = proof of intelligence
intelligence = abiltiy to solve problems, ect. . . .
therefore,
good standardized test scores = ability to solve problems, ect . . .
but, since this isn't the case, either tests aren't proof of intelligence or intelligence doesn't apply to problem solving, ect . . .

*sigh*

You'd have only good things to say about me, I assume.

*shrug* Who knows. Put me down as a reference and find out. I would have to tell them that you abbreviate etcetera as ect rather than etc. Weird stuff, that is.
