My mind is blown from the diversity. Good job, DC. /sarcasm

Yup. So diverse.

Though to be fair, I'm pretty sure it's more diverse than they were, which isn't saying much.

I will say that the fact that there are three openly gay characters makes me very happy. That's something that you definitely wouldn't have seen from DC 25 years ago.

Definitely not, considering I can only currently think of two running around in books right now--Scandal Savage and Obsidian.

Yup.

But honestly, how many of those women and minority characters had ongoings before? Not many.

As am I. And part of me hates myself for it, because I'm not a fan of the relaunch idea.

So this is considering just the heroes? Because I know there's more gay characters than that, provided they don't nerf Static's friend in the reboot.

...although I wouldn't mind if they did what the cartoon did and merge him and another character into one and make him Static's sidekick. Sure he didn't get around to coming out on the show, but it was still pretty obvious.

I'm strictly talking the characters featured on the covers of the DC relaunch. Because during the relaunch they talked about how they're going to be more diverse. There may be more suprises in terms of characters once we actually get the books (like Richie), but as a whole I doubt it.

One more minority added to the list--Blue Beetle :D

And not a problem. Honestly it's similar to what I do at work, only this is a more fun topic.

Yeah. How many from the USA or live in the USA?

Citizens of the US, I'm assuming (as Superman, though not announced yet would count as American despite being an alien)?

I figure that out, hang on.

Yeah, American aliens. Amazingly, they all tend to live there.

Here's a start from a few days ago :-

Okay here's the breakdown. Those I marked "aliens" go wherever they damn well please, so I didn't put them under any one country. Also, I skipped the Blackhawks, Legion Lost, and the Legion of Superheroes, because I have no idea who the hell those characters are so I couldn't determine citizenship ( ... )
