I'm in London.

This was the right choice.

I just bought airline tickets to Germany. I can't believe it's really happening.

Today I spent all day asleep. I did not go to class. I did not think. I did not analyze. I did not interact with other humans. I slept. I am hopeful I won't be sick for much longer.

Everything is changing.

I don't quite know how I feel about this, but I only have motivation enough to embrace it.

I lost my last contact. It happened yesterday morning. I was leaning over to put on the right contact when it fell to the ground never to be seen again. I knew I needed to see the eye doctor anyway while I was here and get some more, but I was hoping to do that before I had to go around in my broken glasses from 7th grade. Today I seriously got things accomplished in the study abroad realm. I called Brown and talked to the person in charge of the Brown in Tanzania program. Afterwards I reread through the handbook and remembered exactly why I want to do this program. I started on my apps. . . .and suddenly the dorm was back to its normal hustle and bustle. Smoker's alley had reemerged. Screaming drew attention. Dinner was loud. Movies caused guilt.

On the bright side--I can actually work again!
