so Amnesty emailed me and asked for more references (gawd). i sent them and then got this response:

Hi Holly,

Thanks for providing the additional info. I think this should be sufficient.

We're still in the final decision process, and it's a bit soon to say how it will play out. One way or the other, you'll be hearing from us soon.

yeah, i don't know. it's weird because the people who are leaving are different ages and at different places..so there's no common reason i can find.

i go through cycles here where i feel exactly like you, especially in the relationship parts and the whole business thing. it comes and goes, but yea. my friendships here keep keeping me here. but next i think i'll move to seattle. or austin. or atlanta.

i definitely know it's part of a series of normal-20's cycles. like, my friend in philly has blogged on here about being fed up with the seemily claustrophobic (socially and professionally) aspect of smaller cities (philly, in her case). i know that. it's like...how do i separate what i want from what is realistic? am i asking for too much out of life? argh.

holly, you can conquer anywhere and everywhere. you just have to give yrself the chance to do it.

i have never heard of anyone i know going through that many damn hoops to get a job, and i don't think that's any comment on my friends. so if you do get it, you should make it everything it can be.

and if you don't get it, you should feel amazingly proud for being in a category of overachievers that had to do like four interviews and somehow wow-ed on every single one of them. even from happy hour at standard tap with dead mouse body on the floor.

you rule at life holly, honestly you do. fuck new york, or shit fuck everywhere else. it's really all about you.
