Neue Vierte

[Asuka's been feeling restless lately. Her birthday'd just passed - as usual - without any comment from her. For all that she likes being the center of attention, and the fact that she's rapidly approaching the age of majority even in countries less ridiculous than Japan, she could never quite bring herself to brag about a process as involuntary ( Read more... )

Probably depends on how big of an event we planned. Just a little thing with a few friends would probably be safe but if we covered our mechs in christmas lights and joined a parade? guarenteed chaos.

*briefly paralyzed by the mental image of a quarter-mile of garland on Unit 02, and the fact that that would actually kind of work*

Definitely thinking a private party. I'd almost say 'have it on base just in case' but that's so boring when we all live here.

The base has too much stuff on it that people want to take by force anyway. I say get the GDF to reserve a restaurant somewhere.

[...that debacle was almost a year ago now. How time flies.]

Let's try to keep it on the down low.

People still say "on the down-low"?

Do you think it's a matter of attracting attention, or just Murphy's Law striking harder the bigger the party is?

They do when they're COOLER THAN YOU ASUKA.

Probably both, though at least everyone would expect something going wrong by now.

It's too bad any party where I could just show up in my plugsuit isn't a party I'd actually go to...

I dunno. I mean, it was only that one time, and we've celebrated Christmas plenty of times without something bad happening.

As a group? When? I've been in Japan for two Christmases so far and the only one I had with the GDF got crashed by a storybook villain.

Maybe so, but during our year off, me, Duo, and the rest all had a great Christmas without anything serious happening.

Plus, look at it this way: maybe we were just getting the crazy holiday shenanigans out of the way for later years.

Maybe if it's a casual thing I can just wear something I'm willing to wear in the entry plug...

...I've been meaning to ask you, how do you get the LCL out of your school uniform?

I won't lie, it's a bitch. I have to run it through the laundry like six times.

Realistically, though, with our paycheck, I could just burn them and get a new uniform each time we deploy.

*groan* doesn't apply to anything I'd wear to a party.

Screw it, I'm not going to plan a party and a sortie at the same time. What happens happens.
