Lovely flowers... think puttering around in the yard on weekends is going to be one of the things I'll miss most now that I'm in an apartment. Guess I'll have to get a pot or two to put out on the patio and at least have something growing (gotta have my cosmos *grin*).

I think you'll like Flightplan... at least for me one of those "I didn't see that coming" types of movies.

Yes, I feel the same way about Cosmos, they're just so hardy. I'm going to get the chocolate scented cosmos again this year if I can find it. I suppose the plus side to living in an apartment is that you won't have a lawn to mow :)

I'm looking forward to Flightplan - Jodie Foster is always good in her films anyway.

I'll get to play in the yard for a couple weekends yet I guess. While the house is up for sale now guess I'll still need to run over and cut the grass until it does sell.

I didn't realise it hadn't sold yet - hope you get a buyer. Things are pretty quiet on the house-selling market over here - our neighbour opposite finally sold this week, but their place has been up for sale for a year!

I liked Flightplan... it kept me guessing for a long time.. and it has a good finish.

Poor Socks and the injections.... owwie...

We have gone from winter to summer here with little to no spring. Not nearly enough rain in the midwest (though California is getting too much)

I want to use your first picture as a desktop...

I think the anticipation of the injections is worse for him than the actual jab itself. Poor thing. But he's here sprawled out at my feet now, looking very content :)

Same here - spring is a non-event. The sun is shining now, but it hasn't been all day, just grey skies. We have a real problem over here with lack of rain and they are already introducing water restrictions.

I hope you get primroses growing in the wild over there. I love them, and they grow so easily.

Hooray for Cosmos! aellia April 14 2006, 19:54:24 UTC
Lovely post!
I've sowed some deep red nasturtiums and some seeds from a perrenial sweet pea that I found in some pods on a plant.
I'd love to play a game like that,I don't think my old brain would take it though :-)

Thanks Penny - yes, I wouldn't be without cosmos now, thanks to you :) I still have a few more seeds to sow, but I'm out of seed compost - I guess I'll have to brave the Easter Monday crowds at B&Q and get some, although I don't fancy the idea.

The game is very entertaining - I'm probably too old to be playing it, but I enjoy it.

Hope you're having a good break this weekend - you deserve it. xx

Ok, never mind answering the question I asked on your last post. Oblivion really does look like something I'd enjoy. :)

Love the primroses...they're gorgeous.

I'm glad that the hair highlight thing went well. Things like that are always a bit uncomfortable, but you have to do what works best for you.

I hope Fred's mother gets along better with her medication, and good luck in dealing with the issue of the sheltered accommodation.

Yes, I'm pretty sure you'll like Oblivion - I see you mentioned the Sims in one of your earlier posts and I also played that - well over-played it then :) It is quite violent sometimes though, but I think you could probably get away with building your character without too much violence if you preferred.

I was glad to get the hair highlight thing out of the way. Now of course I have to find myself someone new, and I haven't got that far down in the planning.

Fred's mum phoned me yesterday and she wants 'a meeting' with us both this week to 'discuss things'. I have my fingers crossed that she is coming to a decision about moving home ... I really do.

Enjoy the rest of the Easter weekend. I was sorry to read about Rosy - that sort of thing is never easy, is it? It involves so many feelings and emotions. I hope she'll be happy with her new owners.

Lol, I'm a total Sims 2 junkie. I haven't been playing lately, but I'm sure I'll go Sims 2 happy again before too much longer. I definitely have to get Oblivion one of these days...it looks like just the sort of thing I really enjoy. I'm not averse to a bit of video game violence from time to time either. Sometimes when I'm in a bad mood, I'll play the Legend of Zelda:Ocarina of Time...I can hack things with a sword in that. ;)

I hope the meeting between you, Fred and his mother works out well and comes to a good conclusion.

Thanks about Rosy. No, it isn't easy; I didn't expect to feel as bad as I do, but I'll get over it eventually.

Yeah, well, I decided to play it practical, and decided to wait on the new video card until after Easter. I knew that if I'd gone ahead and bought it, I wouldn't have seen daylight during the Easter break, and no work would have been done.

Of course not much work has been done anyway, but at least I can't blame it on Oblivion. ;-)

Hope you get Socks under control. I've had a nasty bout of diarrhea with the cats (Siamese, mostly, of course), and it's finally getting under control - I was getting quite fed up with them "leaking" all over the place. Yuck, yuck, and yuck again.

You made a good decision - it's hard to stop playing once you start.

Socks seems to have come out in sympathy with your cats, bleh, what a mess. I think it was only a one-off and maybe due to him eating far too much yesterday. He's on chicken and fish today to calm things down. Apart from the diarrhea outbreak, I have to say that the steroid injection has worked wonders, but of course I'm aware that once it wears off, we may see a deterioration. I hope yours get better soon too.
