tipping the velvet by sarah waters (my all-time FAVORITE NOVEL EVER...i swear, i could read it over & over & over again for MONTHS & not get tired of it. sooooooooooooooooooo good. trust me. victorian lesbian love affairs! drama! music hall scandals! prostitution! adultry! politics! transgender characters! dominatrixes! children! passion! all in one book! how could anyone go wrong?)
