Better luck next time, eh? Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

...and a load of other platitudes like that.

I'm really sorry, Ron. But you'll get something better. And I'm not just saying that.

Yeah right.

I'm going out in the early evening but I should be back around nine.

Is it okay if I call in and see you when you get back? If you're not busy, or stuff.

I'm sorry to hear that, Ron. From what I heard, you'd have been a great asset to them.

Thanks, Professor. Anyway, there'll still be Quidditch when the war's over, right?

I'm pretty sure it's right up there with death and taxes.

And if not... we'll have to get inkdarting made into a national sport.

I'm sorry to hear that you were unsuccessful, Mr.Weasley.
They clearly don't know what they are missing.

Not to worry, Professor. I don't suppose there'll be many matches going on for a bit anyway.

Oh, I am so sorry, dear! I had high hopes for you, but maybe they wanted someone with a litle more experience.

It's okay, Mum. I hadn't got my hopes up anyway and it's not like there's nothing to be doing here.

Still worried about Quidditch when you got a war on your hands? You can play your games when Voldemort is dead. You want to flit around the pitch, do you? I reckon you might as well paint a bulls-eye on your back!

If it's boredom you're facing, I can find plenty of work to keep you from being idle.

What are your feelings on cows?

I'm pretty sure I said I wasn't worried. Sorry, Auror Moody. I'll type more slowly next time if you're having trouble keeping up.

Maybe you didn't know this, but it was being good at games that got Harry and Hermione and me far enough for Harry to stop Voldemort when we were kids. Chess and flying and puzzles and suchlike. Maybe you shouldn't underestimate us.

Maybe you thought taking a bat and pretending Voldemort's head was a bludger would be enough to keep Potter alive. Wasn't that Diggory boy on the Quidditch team?

All the puzzles in the world won't stop an Unforgivable.

His name was Cedric.

I don't think he was thinking much about Quidditch when they killed him, but I'm sure you're very pleased that you've made some kind of point.
