And I've managed to make a snitch of sorts. It's complicated - I couldn't get one with wings to work, so I charmed it to look like it had wings and just made the ball thingy zip around at random. That'll do won't it? You can't do flashy things like catch it by the wings because the wings aren't real though...

Well, I asked Tonks a bit ago about how the Aurors communicated when they were out on a mission, and she pretty much said that the things they used... well, there weren't any more of them about. So I was thinking about the Floo, and I thought maybe there'd be a way we could use fire to talk to each other. Except it'd have to be small fire we could carry around with us, and I was thinking of those flames you dumped on Snape's robes that time. Could we put them in something like a Rememberall or maybe something a bit tougher, and talk into them?

I'm not sure that would work... but there's no reason why we can't try it, I suppose. There could be other things that we could try as well - I do miss the Library at Hogwarts you know, I barely have half the books I need to do any decent research.
