Shinutsu is feeling better. She managed to avoid a second trip to the vet by figuring out what I was asking her to do and providing the necessary urine sample ... damn smart cat. Not many humans would have figured it out with the same amount of clues and she wasn't desperate to go, or anything. It was a bout of interstitial cystitis.

How far out of date was that film? If it's only a few months past its expiration date and has been at room temperature all that time, or if it's well past its expiration date but spent most of its time in the fridge, it's almost certainly fine (as long as you're not shooting fabric swatches for a catalog or something precise like that). If it's been left in a car or is several years out of date, that's another matter (but still not an automatic loss).

I once deliberately abused a roll of film to see what would happen to it -- I took a roll that was slightly past its expiration date and left it on the dashboard of my car for a couple of weeks in the summertime. The photos came out with a blue tint.

The pictures turned out pretty well, despite the film being expired. We took them to WalMart rather than Giant, we've received mixed results from Giant as far as film processing.
