Luckily no one has decided to wage war on tsunamis yet.
I can't say that I'm much of a humanitarian, but you've got a good point about the expecting vs. giving sympathy, then again, our great nation (mocking tone) doesn't really ask for sympathy, sometimes it seems we prefer to carpet bomb other countries into showing it. Still, and feel free to call me an isolationist, I just don't like America sticking its dick where it doesn't belong, I certainly hope your money is put towards altruistic purposes.
Wouldn't it be weird to hear about relife funds for iraquis as much as we've heard about tsunami relife? It would seem appropriate, wouldn't it?
I find it kind of funny that you can write one sentence and get 20 comments on it, but writing about the need for money in another country, and the need for us to give instead of recieve has only 2.

It would be appropriate, but Iraq is the ENEMY. You can't give aid to the ENEMY.

Obviously a lot of my LJ buddies aren't like that, but the entry was directed more towards the general population of AmericaLand.
