i'm fortunate to be in a blue state because it will be a matter of record that our state did not stand for whatever crimes will be committed against humanity in the name of money/god/oil/whatever shrub decides is right. with the house and senate in his pocket now, he's got carte blanche to do as he pleases so, yeah, i'm absolutely nervous as hell, ( Read more... )

hey there! i also wish i'd known in advance about it, too. i think we need to mobilize people and to make information about such happenings more accessible/visible. moveon.org is about as radical is it gets for most people, they don't know about daily kos or indymedia or the independent.

iowa results destroyed me, though i don't know how much those iowans would have liked to have been told to vote kerry by a little chinese lady. ;) sorry to hear that you weren't able to sway your mom, but you tried!

i'm with you on the blues. serious contemplation of moving out of the country for a postdoc (it's been offered in China!) but not sure that's better. the repurcussions of the vile one's continuance in office reach beyond a mere four years. it's scary. let us get more vocal, more active, burst onto those red states for every upcoming election and at least get Congress back!
