After finals I went home for a couple of days, mostly go to the opthamologist. Apparently I have a freckle behind my eye that they needed to photograph... It was nice to hang out with my parents. We went golfing and also saw "Thank You for Smoking," which was darkly humorous ( Read more... )

I don't know if that struck you as especially amazing, but I was giggling for the rest of the movie because of it. :)

Marissa, we have to find some time & way to get together this summer. I have very few responsibilities (so few that I'm actually finding another regular volunteer job), especially for 2 weeks in the middle of July. I have free admission to the Franklin Institute (but it sounds like you've been there recently and there'll be hordes of young screaming unsupervised kids there). But we have to do something. I don't want to be so close with almost nothing to do in Philly and not spend some time together.

If you could get away to come out here, that would be great (but I seem to remember you don't have a car...). If I'm able to get home for a couple of days this summer, I might be able to get out to Philly. How long will you be there?

How far are you from Philly? I was just looking at prices for a visit to my relatives. Unfortunately, I'm already taking a week and a half off in June to help Mom clear out Grandma's house, which is being sold. Still, something might work.

Depending on traffic, I'm about 4 and half hours from Philly.

Well I'm definitely going to visit, as soon as I get out of this nunnery. I can't wait to see you. I should probably get back to doing my school work. I have a love/hate relationship with finals. Love because after this week I am friggin' done for three months. Hate because I actually need to do well on these so that my grades don't suck. Alas, I will just have to suck it up and do it.

I just took my last final, will hand in my senior project on Monday or Tuesday, and will GRADUATE on the 20th. So guess what, you might get a visit from me sometime in June, so long as you don't mind if I do so on a week day. I guess we'll see.
