notes from the midst of chaos

I have moved, for the third time in three years. Argh. (Short version: landlord's daughter attends a nearby university. It is less expensive for her to live off-campus in the apartment with roommates than on-campus.) I will not miss my now-ex landlord, nor will I miss the driveway that was 6 -8 " wider than my car (*ouch* I don't think in 3D very ( Read more... )

Welcome back! As soon as our mutual schedules settle down, let's get together...this could easily be an unpacking-catching up-cat admiration-tea drinking gettogether. :)

If Rebecca was still in town, I'd've guessed her as the mad measurer. Being as how she's in CA, though, I can only speculate...

Congrats on your newly acquired Morrisness. With which troupe are you performing? And on which of your many instruments?

'Twas Patricia H -- you might not know her -- a StoryReader, among other attributes. She rocks. Truly.

Red Herring and MOTley (which is somewhat on hiatus at the moment).

Am borrowing connectivity from this week's StoryReading Host, so must dash!

Moving is HELL. Congratulations on getting through it! I hope everything gets better, especially your cat's mode of communication.

I'm at Worldcon too. I have already run into 6 LJers I know, including 4 of L'Ignota's housemates--will keep an eye out for you!

The best part of moving is re-visiting all the books! At twenty-four bookcases you've sure got me beat (a mere fourteen). I'm saving unpacking the fourty cases of books to be a dessert after the rest of the house is in order. Have to do it that way or nothing else would get done.

Will you have all your boxes unpacked by NEFFA or shall I plan a couple extra days in the country to supervise? :)

Oh, by all means plan a couple of extra days :-}! What a silly option to offer, indeed! I have already found some books that I haven't seen in since before my last move, and indeed, some that I hadn't seen since two moves ago. O irony, o shit, indeed.

Apologies for the radio silence to you in particular -- I didn't even ping you about your transatlantic relocation (moving cubed! eek!). Please forgive.

Still not really on line (borrowing access from StoryReading host, must scoot soon), so must be brief...
