Carolina took the words right out of my mouth. "Interesting choice," and not a Poe poem with which I am familiar, either. Of course I have to admit that, after participating in a class reading of "The Pit and the Pendulum" one Hallowe'en, I've never been the same, and haven't really delved into Poe. He may deserve another chance.
