More Comic Con recapping to be had soonish, whenever I get to finishing the write up but for now, I just wanted to share my Tom Hardy signing dorkiness (from about 3 weeks late OTL)!!!
Comic Con, Friday: (or, THE DAY OF DESTINY!!! the day of the Warrior Signing)
So I say hello to the Inception props over at the Legendary booth (as was my tradition when I found out they were there).
Inception props:
I remember thinking, "Huh, well that answers the question of what Eames' totem is!" Also, I am very tickled that his totem is right next to Arthur's!
XDDD There are even better pictures of Eames' totem (as well as a TON of wonderful Warrior signing pictures, where you can see the eventual rotation of Tommy's hat!!!) over
here!
I had haunted the Lionsgate booth, which is full of awesome awesome people, so I knew what to do. I got the ticket as soon as the hall opened and then I wandered off for more books/etc. I return by around 11:30am and met some really amazing people, as we waited in a not-a-line for 1pm to come around. Heard crazy anecdotes about awesome after parties and not so awesome rabid Twilight fans making little girls cry. We also got Warrior t-shirts (like the one Tom was wearing for the signing), which the Lionsgate people told us to put on, so I did!
Close to 1pm, we realize that Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton were at the booth. The aisle traffic was crazy!
My shoot of the booth from my place in line: (I was fourth in line)
More shoots of the signing while in line (some from my bro):
A shoot of Tom's beefy arms:
THE ACTUAL SIGNING WAS SO AWESOME!!!! I had drawn several chibi pictures of the actors (one of Joel and one of Tommy), as well as a chibi picture with the phrase, "Fight for Cake". I asked the really amazing Lionsgate staff lady if it'd be alright to give the actors the drawings. She at first thought I wanted them to be signed but when I said they were gifts, she seemed a bit amazed but was really cool about it.
The chibi pictures I drew!!!

Fight for Cake:
When it was my turn to go up, I was so nervous!!! I am afraid I blanked out a bit and squeed really hard. (My sincerest apologies to Joel, who was lovely, but I'm afraid I really just squeed at THard. *facepalm* I was worried about how much time they'd let me have to talk to the actors, is why.)The two men seemed delighted to get the pictures (I hope they kept them!) and, as I only had one Cake picture, I gave it to Tommy, who got this big delighted grin on his face! SOOO ADORABLE DEAR GAWD HOW IS HE REAL?!
I mentioned how excited you all were (as in my internet peeps being all a-flutter knowing that he'd be at Comic Con), which also seemed to delight him and, keeping in mind the time, I quickly asked if I could take a picture. Both gentlemen said yes and we turned to where my brother was. I...may have snuck my hand out to touch THard's arm (WHICH IS WARM AND HAIRY AND *dissolves into gibberish*)!!!
The Elite security guy was not having it, but my brother was a BOSS and wouldn't let the guy run him off! I was begging and cajoling on my side, and then I hear Tom (and possibly Joel too!) say, "LET HIM TAKE THE PICTURE!" XDDDDD THE FLAILING I DID INSIDE!!! The guard finally relented and I got my picture with the cast of Warrior!!!
LOOK AT HIS SMILE, GUYS!!! JUST LOOK AT IT!!!! *FLAILS AND DIES*
Needless to say, after that, my entire day floated by on a huge high. I made off to the Protech booth to buy a protective cover for my poster and it was so utterly worth it!!!
A shot of mah poster and a bit of the Warrior t-shirt!!!:
Shot of the poster (the Tom Hardy side)!!!:
And to end off with (for the lulz), Demonic!Tom Hardy:
Okay, really to end, I may have a few more Warrior posters (unsigned but picked up from the Lionsgate booth) that should go to deserving homes. I'll get back to everyone when I verify the number of posters!
