I got a speeding ticket a few months ago. I got the notice in the mail and it says I can't take traffic school. I had a speeding ticket that I took traffic school for the day before Easter 2008. Does anyone have experience with petitioning to take traffic school? I don't want the point on my license.

Unfortunately, you can only go to traffic school once per *18* month period, begining from the date of your violation. So, it sounds like you won't be elligible until October or November of this year, that only being for any violation occuring *after* that 18 month period has endedd. I've gone through this a few times and have been a very good driver for 18 month intervals, one having just unded last month ;)

I hate to say, you might be stuck, but you can always go to your court date and dispute the ticket. I think it's even chances that the officer who wrote your ticket won't be there, and then the case might be thrown out, or so I hear that's a possibility, though I've never atempted it myself.
