Missing the world that you know

Morgause had stood up on the roof for an age. Standing on the roof, looking out at the city below, contemplating her fate. Thoughts ran through her head as she went over what has happened in the months that she has been in the Sanctuary. Months. She had been here for months already and missed her home and mother desperately. She wanted to be home, ( Read more... )

John Druitt had found a quiet spot back out of the main traffic areas of the Sanctuary and had settiled in with a book pilfered from Helen's first editions. He leafed through Lyrical Ballads, with Other Poems by William Wordsworth. The decanter of scotch from the first floor parlor sat on the table beside him along with a glass with a few fingers of the liqueur poured in it.

He glanced up as he saw an attractive young woman with long blond hair moving slowly down the hall that he didn't recognize from th last time he had been at the Sanctuary.

"Rather late to for a stroll," he commented to her as she passed.

Morgause lifted her head up as she heard a voice.

John Druitt she thought as she instantly recognised him. He was quite possibly the last person she expected to see in the Sanctuary. They had hoped he would make contact with Magnus again in this time of crisis.

"Perhaps, depending on the one doing the strolling."

That is true enough," he stated. He stood slowly and offered a small bow. "I do not believe we have met," he said to her, "but then I have found there are quite a few more people populating the Sanctuary than last I passed through these halls."

Morgause takes in the appearance of the young woman that passes by her. Morgause is quire different in attire with elegant clothes adorning her slim, tall frame as her long blonde hair tumbles in waves. She walks tall and confident whilst this creature has her hands shoved into her pockets.

"Good evening," she greets at the nod she is given.

"And yet you have a smile on your face," Morgause points out.

Morgana had been looking for Morgause for the best part of an hour, but tried not to seem too relieved when she finally came across her. It seemed so silly and she blamed it on her own ruined mental state right now, but she'd been half convinced that Morgause was about to leave. That something was truly bothering her.

Her smile was warm though when she spotted the other woman walking towards her. In her hand was clutched a bag, a small gift of thanks. She would have liked it to have been the answers Morgause was looking for, the truth of where she came from, but she was still making slow progress in that.

Instead, she held something thoroughly inadequate to thank someone for saving her life.

Morgause looked up and saw Morgana walking towards her. At seeing the young woman a smile crossed her face instantly, her features instantly brightening up upon seeing her. She felt more relieved knowing that she had secured Morgana's safety when the axe came down.

"Morgana," she smiled, "How are you? Feeling better?"

"Much better," she said, squeezing the other woman's hand in fond greeting. "Thanks to you."

Morgause reciprocates the squeeze of her hand softly.

"I am glad to hear that. You look well."
