mornings suck

Is someone slipping caffeine into my dinner, because I get an unusual second wind from like 8 pm until like 4am.

It sucks ass.

I’m tired as hell all damn day. At any point during “normal waking hours” I could lie down and pass out immediately. Then, when night finally comes, I’m all bright eyed and bushy tailed. This does not fit in well with the ( Read more... )

There might be a couple ways around that, mellikitten's gone through this recently. One way is to cut out coffee altogether and replace with black tea. The other way is to actually do just what your body wants and sleep whenever you're tired. bizwark does this, much to our chagrin, because we hardly see her when she's in a nocturnal cycle... but, coffee is actually the culprit, I believe.

Who needs sleep? I remember how there were days that I got a meager 2-3 hours of sleep and others where I just stayed up the whole night. We're young! We can sleep when we're dead ( ... )

Ok, I am totally in love with your new friends Alice, what great advice! Much better than my freshman year solution: Thursday to Sunday, rum then Mon to Wed, ephedrine and sleeping pills. Toss in the camel lights and topless sunning on South Beach and I probably took 5 years off of my life in 4 short months.

Are you keeping hydrated through the day? I can't believe how much more alert drinking water endlessly makes me. I cut back on the coffee but I still drink it.
