They're more of a novelty item--I couldn't imagine someone using it more than once in a while as a gag at a party.
I made them as a way of producing something that was reasonably historically authentic for the time period that we interpret at the museum.
But man, they would still be hot from the kiln and out they went....

Yes, there is. The rim of the cup is made into a closed form, which acts as a tube, and the handle is also a hollow tube. It's just a matter of figuring out which spout is the one that work. ;-)
