When I read a recent entry from an LJ friend about what had happened to the Art Of The Mix website, I was skeptical. Even though I hadn't regularly visited the site for quite some time, once in awhile I'd check in and at least see mixers I knew. The site had looked the same, the last time I visited. I know..it made me so sad when I attempted to log in. One of my communities had some mixes and I wanted to archive them, now I don't know if I want to or not.

awww damn :( I wish you lived closer to the Phoenix area, since we're planning a trip to Albuquerque (sp?) and I have a family friend in the Phoenix area that we'd visit on the way. we'll figure it out someday :P

I think they had been having a lot of problems with the site lately (I do know at least two times before the redesign came up, I tried to visit and got warnings about planted malware in my browser), which may have led to the change. The first time, I couldn't upload a playlist, but the other day I was able to.

Yeah, I'll add to the frustration about the malware warnings - I haven't been back in a long time. It's a shame - but in some ways (some that you've stated) I don't miss it.

Wow, I haven't looked at that site in a long time... all my old mixes are still there actually, and at least they kept that ape-like logo.
