So the last 24 hrs+ has been agony and confusion as my hands ceased to work. What would normally take less then 30 second to do could take up to 5-10 minutes (if not a hell of a lot longer). Brush my hair turned into some comical farce as I would try to pull the brush through my hair only to lose grip or get it knotted up lol ( Read more... )

doh the pain the pain of it all ;0), splint, stupid doctors, diclofenac, cts, hospital

but figured it was climate change from cold England to bright sunny Cali and back again

My bad it was Orlando not Cali LOL didn't realise I'd written that but also noticed all my spelling misates and missing words in that post lol. No again mind it was only 4-5 weeks a go last time I was in Cali though was April 2007.
Mentioned it kinda on Spet 18th then did reports on 2nd Oct when I got home lol.

Ugh! I have carpal tunnel as well and it's a slag when it flares up. Try to rest as much as you can.

Oh poor you. *hugs* baby. That is not fun, but from what I know the symptoms do ease and that idiot doctor should have given you some ideas! Go see your GP huni. Anyway - look after yourself. Kxx

I got carpal tunnel too - both hands, ugh. The wrist splints at night help a lot (though they aren't the most alluring things in the world). The steroids worked for a while, but unfortunately the very things that exaccerbated the discomfort were the very things I couldn't avoid doing; pushing buggies, work, housework - living in general :oO hehehehe I got mine from babies though, so it tends to settle down a bit between pregnancies :o) Anti inflamatories can help a bit too, but they are a bit dodgy for the stomach used long term. Can't think of much else, other than that really.... sorry...... Just a hug from one crip to another ;oP
