She hasn't had much rawhide because I was nervous about it too. She loves it though.
And she loves pig's ears too. We have the rubber stretchy ball that's mostly holes that you cram pig's ears into and then let them try and chew them. Much fun. Those go away for now too.
I gave a full disclosure of everything I know she's eaten to the vet, and the vet said none of it should be causing the issues she's got. That we hadn't given her anything out of the ordinary or dangerous.
Our dog is just special. :) Was there any doubt?
We'll figure this out, and then live within what she needs to be happy and healthy.
The main positive is that she has always remained active and energetic. The plan is to find what is needed to keep her that way without being on antibiotics.

If I fed my dog nothing but chicken breast, he'd be ok with it.
So much so that its the only time he's ever bitten anyone. The first week we had him I was making chicken breast to shred and gave him a bite, the second bite was grabbed with a bit too much enthusiasm and ended up with a puncture in my middle finger.
Since then we've worked with him and when its a REALLY GOOD snack he squirms around on the floor and is generally ecstatic, but always has a very soft mouth.
So don't worry about plain chicken breast!
Your puppy is bigger than my puppy! But we didn't do training classes and our pushy little guy is horrible on the lease. So off to class for us while he's still young.

Don't do rawhide even when she's well. Many dogs can't digest it. If you need a chewie like a rawhide, you're better off getting pig's ears.
