Dear Furs,

Unless you have the power to remove someone from "furry", then your dramagasming over this is a waste of your time.
The average life expectancy for someone in the US is around 73 years.  That's 26645 days.

By midnight tonight, you will have spent 1 full day on this.  I imagine this wargarrbl will go on for 2 weeks.  That means you will ( Read more... )

There have been people in the past who did stupid shit that have resulted in them vanishing completely from the furry community.

The "shun gun" works.

It does, but how many of the people who've brought ill to us via the media have been shunned? Already the "But they were ambushed" crowd is coming in.. and soon, it'll be replaced with the "We need to tell them about the real us" crowd. :)

"What have you done lately for furry?"

I do a show on Thursdays at 7 pm Nashville time. This Thursday we won't start at 7 pm because I'm on location, but in the meantime I feel that I have earned the right to rage if I so please.

Sorry for the multiple edits.

No problem with the multiple edits.

Though, I read your comments about what they omitted.. and there's a slight flaw to it. Note, I'm not defending the idiots.. but.. anyone who appears on Tyra's show is going to be edited.

They could have denied denied denied all they wanted to. Tyra had a mission, and anything that didn't say completely strange was going to go on the cutting room floor.

I've had my quotes maligned by press before in my dealings with them as a referee. I don't talk to them for that reason. I've seen friends who are public speakers literally have their speech cut up and repositioned to make them sound like idiots.

There was cutting going on here.

So if you're going to rage for them looking like idiots.. understand, they are.. but they were also made to look precisely how Tyra wanted them to look.

I understand that major editing occurred to make "furries" sound as freaky and perverted as possible, but here's my rebuttal to that: ChewFox was perfectly happy with not only her appearance on Tyra, but the final product itself. She thinks that the show producers did a great job on editing and portrayed the conversation accurately and fully and overall conveyed her message spot-on.

Also, ChewFox sent a personal message to Dragoneer proclaiming how proud she was of what she and her mate did. Not to mention that ChewFox herself bragged about how she was so happy to speak for the entire fandom.

This is what pisses me off about all those defending ChewFox (not you) that say "she was just speaking for herself, yada yada yada" NO THE F*** SHE WASN'T. She herself said that she spoke for all of us and intended to speak for all of us, and that she was perfectly happy with how the interview was aired.

So honestly, I don't think much cutting occurred, and if it did, ChewFox approved of it.

So, yes, rage.
