Well, all this week so far I've been with the Leads at work learning all about being this thing you call Lead. It's been kinda fun and I think I'm going to like it actually. Everyone seems nice, it's interesting but relaxed and as far as work goes everything looks to be pretty cool. In due time I'll get a schedule change to some semblance of ( Read more... )

you're always so eager to be pessimistic about stuff with stephanie l. i mean, geez, how many times have you posted something to the effect of, "i haven't heard from her in a couple days. this must be the end," and then it wasn't after all. two days later, you would see her again and have her over and it would all be cute. if you're not dating exclusively, then three days isn't so long to go without talking to someone. what you really ought to do is call her up and discuss the relationship with her. see how she (and you) feel about how things are or how things could be. i don't mean rush into it, just find out how she feels about everything. then, next time you haven't heard from her in a few days, you won't be moping about this being the end again ( ... )

We really have to find some regular time online to work on that campaign some more. :) That was pretty fun, though I think Xavier will have to sober up a bit to make things more coherent.

Don't sweat Stephanie L. I can tell you're really nervous about it and trying not to be. I'm sure she'll call you at some point soon. Maybe she's just the type to get sidetracked by life from time to time and go incommunicado for a while. In the meantime, might do you well to just spend some time self-reflecting. Getting a handle on where you are in life, and where you see yourself being 10 years from now. Then figuring out what you need to do to get there.

Depression happens to the best of us -- it's human nature to feel self-doubt, and to think about the past. It's easier to focus on the future when you have a good image of the future in your mind though. And once that image is focused, the little problems of today and yesterday seem much less important. I speak from recent experience. :)
