Before: Went to town for supplies (pumpkin pie mix, that is) and was rear-ended by an extremely Happy Young Man (so rattled was I that I hardly thought to look around the store for my much admired Cheese Boy). ( Read more... )
hahah -- oh my -- an extremely happy young man. . .
I'm just glad you're OK. And that he was So Happy.
Silver = not a good color. Red also not a good color. There's a list somewhere of the best colors. White's at the top of the list -- visible at dusk, inoffensive. Of course, it's not pretty.
I know! one of the few times that I'm not looking behind me and WHAM! out of the blue. I don't think they make a white Element, but white does stay cleaner-looking than other colors, for all it's storm-trooperness.
Happy to oblige. I am curious how the recipe turned out. I wasn't sure if I'd remembered what I'd done well enough for it to be reasonably reproducible. Any alterations, adjustments, or suggestions?

Mine was creamier and more cheescakey than yours, which I recall being crumblier, but I got no complaints on the flavor and was told that it was just the right amount of stilton. I found that the cook time to set was more like 45-50 min, rather than 30. I also added the pear, which was good! I think next time I will mix some roughly chopped toasted walnuts into the tart as well as sprinkling them on top.
