Zineweek with the 10th & 11th graders was rewarding and exhausting and fun. Salix and I are pretty stinkin' proud of what our class came up with, AND we both managed to assemble and print small runs of our own zines. Year two! and I still have a large gift card for Macy's which I've always intended to use for a nice coat. Sadly, by the time I emerge from my post-holiday stupor, the coats remaining on the clearance racks (or indeed, any racks) are far too big for me or frankly too foul and ugly to be believed, let alone purchased. Had several re-engineering sessions and feel slightly better about the project I'm working on. Plod plod plod. Have finally given up on being thrifty and embraced my little heater with open arms (from far enough away not to burn).
