I have something to confess.
I realize it's rather shocking coming from a person like me. I am emotionally stable, cynical and educated, I think men are human beings and do not have a designer shoe fetish. But for some reason, a reason I can't seem to admit to myself, I have been doing the unthinkable to help myself try and sleep

We all have our guilty pleasures; the woman who chuckled at you was merely trying to better herself in self denying the pleasures she gets out of the very same thing.
I had to confess not long ago that I had the same thing with a very similar show; the L word. Even now in saying it I still feel a guilt in liking the show, but there's a sense of relation to the characters that cannot be helped.
Argh.. And good choice in retaliation.. Mmmm Franz Kafka. Delicious existentialism. First Sorrow and Hunger Artist are both wonderful short stories.
