As the current observations are indicating the universe expansion rate is accelerating, it's the most plausible future outcome. But we humans will be long gone before we'll really know whether we're right or not. ;)

I was hearing that it'll be really close to 1 although, as you pointed out, the fact that it's excellerating is indicative that it is atleast 1.
Also - that sounds like heresy talk, the Imperium will be around forever >=(.
