I listened to the EDA's seasons 1-3 first myself, and then had a friend select the necessary bits of Eight and Charley to listen to before Zagreus, so I haven't heard everything with those two, but it does seem like EDA Eight is a bit... not sure I'd say he's dark as such, but maybe a bit less prone to doubting his morality after being pushed to more violent actions? A bit more hardened, perhaps.

Funny thing about voices... I certainly don't mind McGann's, but for me it's actually Sylvester McCoy whose voice I get really giddy over. Although part of that might be the whole darkish aspect of his later Seven.

Yeah, I've mostly listened to the bits around Zagreus as well, so maybe I need to hear more Charley to see the difference?

I've also heard the newest Eight set, "Dark Eyes", is, unsurprisingly, dark.

McCoy also has a lovely voice. I haven't really listened to anything with Seven because his audios never seem to be on sale! I was able to get "Fires of Vulcan" on sale last month, but I haven't listened to it. I'd love to hear some audios with Ace though. And I heard "Red" is terrifying.
