[A blur of red and black and a startled yell are the first things the Dreamberry picks up. The Dreamberry clatters as it hits the ground, the view spinning crazily, followed by a sharp thud and a low groan from somewhere off to the side.]

[The background shifts as Lloyd starts walking, blank walls and bare floors and the occasional window. He seems to be in some kind of abandoned or unused building. There's a sound of a door opening - and Lloyd's eyes widen.] Whoa! C-cold! And... what is that stuff?

[The alarm on his face disappears with an indignant squawk of protest.] Zelos!

What would make snow turn black? [Lloyd turns the Dreamberry around so that Zelos has a good view of the area. Despite the black ice covering everything, it's probably still obvious that he's in Espoir village somewhere. There's cottages and a building across the way that might be some kind of tavern, but nothing else immediately stands out.] Is it safe?

[He flips the device back around so that he can scowl at his friend. You can practically see the little thundercloud over his head.] Hey, if you spy on my dreams, I'm not making any promises about not watching yours.

Who knows? Somarium's just full of surprises. The whole place was filled with candy a few weeks ago. [He sees the area and recognizes it.] Alright I'll come get you, okay?

Do you really wanna take a look at my dreams, bud? [You will SO be seeing naked women, man.]

[Lloyd perks up.] That doesn't sound too bad. There isn't any left, is there? [Still, he eyes the black ice warily.] Should I wait inside or outside for you?

[He stares at Zelos for a moment, trying to puzzle out the meaning of that tone, then suddenly he grins.] Why not? What, do you have dreams about studying or something?

I'll wait here in the door. [It's not as good as waiting inside with the door shut, but at least Zelos will be able to spot him. And he does have a jacket and gloves, so the cold coming in from outside shouldn't be too bad.]

[Zelos had a jacket on and brought a spare for Lloyd. Hate. Winter. It didn't take him that long to find him. He gave him a wave once spotted.]

[Even though he'd been talking to Zelos through the Dreamberry just now, seeing him in person felt a lot more reassuring. Lloyd grinned and waved back, then caught the jacket with a grateful nod.]

Thanks, Zelos. [He pocketed the Dreamberry, then put the jacket on. He didn't hate winter exactly, but he wasn't about to protest the extra warmth.] So, what's the plan? Are you sure none of the others are here?

[Zelos laughs at Lloyd's skid, but stopped immediately after getting bumped by Lloyd. He goes off a little to the side but maintains to keep his balance.] Lloyd!

Uh.. not really. [He sighs and puts a hand over his face. Here we go.] The others are probably in the same spot that you left them in. I've been here for a few months now.
