12th Combo - [Video]

Damn it, I think Zelos is in a sleep coma again. He's not the only one, either. Colette's still asleep- [At least that's what he thinks. He's a little out of the loop, completely unaware that he'd been in a sleep coma, too.] -and Dino was in one, and Zack's friend, and other people. It's like they're contagious or something ( Read more... )

*jin kisaragi, sleep coma, *sheena, is everyone all right?, *zack fair, *rise, *belgium, *colette, *death the kid, *jade curtiss, *haseo, won't let you die

...Hm. I knew sleep comas were relatively "common," but you've brought up an interesting observation.

Yeah. I mean, I've heard of people going into comas because they got hurt, but nobody I know who's been in a sleep coma got hurt, so it's gotta be something else.

The reason for these sleep comas has yet to be determined, and for all we know it could be random coincidence.

[thinking.]

However this is a dream world...

[Lloyd frowns. He still doesn't really get how that's supposed to work. All of this... a dream? A little of his confusion, and perhaps a little skepticism, creeps into his voice.]

You think we might sleep more because we're already supposed to be asleep?

I'm not sure. The fact that we're sleeping to begin with is strange enough if this were just a literal dream world.

[muses.]

I recall someone doing a survey about sleep comas, but I'll have to go through the archives to find out who.

A literal dream world? What other kind is there?

[Ugh, research. Lloyd is more than happy to leave that in this guy's hands, especially since it means using the Dreamberry, which he's still not all that great at.]

That's a good idea. Maybe there's a clue we can use to figure out how to cure it.

Instead of a world existing within dreams, this could be a completely different world-just like how my world is different from yours.

A simpler way to put it is try to imagine if everyone arrived in your world instead.

If that is the case, then we're not merely dreaming-we are actually living in this world some way or another.

Oh! Yeah, that's what I'd been thinking. I've been to another world before, and it definitely wasn't a dream. I thought you meant another kind of dream world that wasn't literal.

What I meant was-[sigh. now he's getting himself confused.] Nevermind. We seem to be on the same page.

[still there was something that had intrigued him.]

But you've been to another world?

Yes. My world is connected to another world called Tethe'alla. That was where I was before I came here. Well, sort of. I was trying to get back to Sylvarant, so I guess you could say I was in between. [He scratches the back of his neck.] Or something like that. I don't really get how it works.

[pause.]

So when you arrived into Somarium, you were traveling between the two worlds?

[He nods.] I went through a Gate that was supposed to take me home, but it brought me here instead.

A gate? [that's really making him think.]

How exactly did this gate work?

redcladidealist June 15 2011, 02:11:46 UTC
Uh...

[...totally asking the wrong person.]

I didn't really get it, but it was a Gate that opened each month when it was a night with a full moon. There were big rocks with angelic writing and the Gate just appeared.

soulsymmetrical June 15 2011, 04:26:44 UTC
...Hm...

And you used this Gate to travel between worlds. [though it was pretty clear he was talking to the wrong person about this.]

I don't suppose there's someone else from your world who would know more about it?

Yeah.

[Lloyd thinks about that for a moment. Raine would have been the best one to ask, but she's not here. Of the people who were here from his world...]

I'm not sure. Maybe Sheena, since she's traveled from Tethe'alla before. And... maybe Mithos?

[That last name is added very hesitantly. He's not sure what Mithos knows, but if he really is four thousand years old...]

Sheena Fujibayashi and Mithos Yggdrasill.
