Now he is a swordsman again, and the thought of having to face off with someone with a gun... His mind turns the idea over. Guns are dangerous. They're faster than arrows and don't require time to prepare like spells. But they'd still require aim and concentration. He can break that, or just plain make himself a target that's hard to hit. It'd be hard, but he'd still have a chance.
