Slouching Toward Jerusalem

Dec 09, 2005 23:56

Just watched The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Good movie; not LoTR, but that was inevitable: it's a short and lovely allegory, but not in itself an epic. This is where we keep our history, so they can't find it. I liked Edmund's introductory scene: the themes of disobedience and filial piety being simultaneously evoked in the same action was ( Read more... )

Po.
Hen.

Good to get some news from you. I'm glad things are going so well.

It would be awesome if you had a (physical) mailing address, but it would even awesomer if you e-mailed it to me.

Oh. That makes more sense, really.

Let the record stand that I was in favor of 魂, though.

Please send me a current email address, to my gmail, preferably along with a physical mailing address for yourself, if such is conceivable in your vagabondiness. If you don't know my gmail address, then, well, nah. Take my last name, add my first initial to the beginning of it, and acknowledge that I attend Mansfield University, which is an educational institution, and all should be well enough.

I am wicked amused by Stan (pun intended).

Also pneumothorax. Although this immediately got the Pinky-and-the-Brain "parts of the brain" song in my head, by which I really just mean Pinky jumping up and down shouting "Brainstem! Brainstem!".

I will have to try out the percussing thing sometime.

I'm glad you are doing well and getting along with people. Hope things go well with the new beau, and I trust you will bring much enlightenment and Spirit (yay!) to your group of Evangelical friends.

*percusses* ...odd!

Good to hear what's new with you. It sounds like you're up to Good Things. I too am finding prosaicness not unenjoyable, and wish you all luck with Sam & the Evangelists (which sounds entirely too much like the name of a rock band).

Also, if you don't mind, I would love to have your current mailing address. There is something I would like to send you. Thanks!

That's totally happening. Sadly, I don't think I could really get Sam into a Gem-esque, totally outrageous getup; she's a bit shy for that. Though strangely, "80s night" was suggested as an Outreach event for next semester. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

There must be Outrageous Karaoke! Possibly to "How Much Is The Fish?".

Could you send a current email address to my gmail account, which I believe you have, to the end that this might come to fruition, preferably along with your current mailing address? Thanks.

I'm really happy for you. You and Sam should hopefully enjoy my gift together, because she should be educated in its ways, if she isn't already. Oh wait, is Sam the girl you mentioned to me who is totally awesome? Congratulations!

Also, re: House, it's the same guy who plays George in Blackadder III and IV. Yup. I lurve Hugh Laurie.

Yes, Hugh Laurie r indeed teh r0xx0r. Sadly, I fear that if your gift happens to be anything Katamari-related, which I see as a distinct possibility, she has seen and feared. Sometimes, we're just forced to retreat into the smoky light of Hell rather than embracing the sharp and burning light of Compassion. Luckily, truth has faces other than the King of All Cosmos.

I don't know whether Sam is the awesome girl of whom you speak. In all probability, yes, though there was also this girl I met momentarily at a multi-college CCC get-together who was my alter-ego from the Female Dimension, which was bizarre. I couldn't possibly date her, though; she's still younger, not in my geographic region, and frankly, I just don't think I could deal with anyone that me-like. Positive feedback loops are usually bad. I can't imagine "the girl you mentioned to me who is totally awesome" applying to any other people about here, though, so likely.

No, it's not Katamari-related. But the Katamari 2 soundtrack is in some ways more impressive than its predecessor, although it sadly lacks anything like the "I want to wad you up into my life" song.
