I didn't expect the hurt of prop 8 passing to be so intense. I didn't expect to overshadow my joy at Obama's win. Good things came out of last night. Obama was elected. Prop 4 was defeated. we picked up a few seats in congress. The Dems took Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia and maybe even North Carolina

I felt the same way. I thought I was prepared for it either way, but then when it happened it felt so intensely personal. I feel very personally attacked and betrayed by the state I've lived in all my life.
