Maya Sleep Log: It's the biorhythms, man!

Well, the good news is that Maya technically slept through the night last night. Of course, "sleeping through the night" technically means sleeping 5 continuous hours when you're talking about babies. Yes, yes, I was thrilled that she slept from 7:30pm-12:30am. Are you saying that insomnia and poopy pants aren't your kink? I'd definitely never be one of those evil parents that tries to convince other unsuspecting people to have kids, but I'll be sure to write a daytime entry to balance out the impression that parenthood is nothing but sheer drudgery.

I highly recommend the Ferber method. Dude has a book and it works if you stick to it. It isn't nearly as weird as the movie Meet The Fockers makes it out to be.

As long as you pick up the kid to soothe it rather than soothe it with back rubs while it is still in the crib, it isn't going to make it through the night. (TH)
