[Kneesocks Daemon is having a spot of tea at a restaurant in Cherrygrove, outside. Her Beedrill hums behind her, twitching in eagerness to fight. After she half empties her cup, she addresses the Pokegear.]

I am broadcasting this message to ask those who have been here longer some recommendations.

Well, I think Jack's a pretty good pokemon to have.

[see the Gyrados swimming around in the water behind her roaring] My pokedex calls him a gyrados but I call him Jack~

But other than that... There's the sprout tower here in Violet!

Gyrados. Hm.

[Studying the background before resuming the chat.]

And why is that tower important?

Well, it's tall... and rickety... I haven't been in there but I hear that the funny thing about it is that there despite it being named after a belsprout there aren't any belsprout in it!

I wonder if Lockon wants to go there...

Then it sounds like it has absolutely no value at all.

[France appears to be eating lunch.]

It's more what types of pokemon you should catch. You need to build a balanced team that makes up for individual weaknesses and brings new strengths. Say, your Beedrill is a good Bug-Poison combination type, but you need a Fire, Rock, or Psychic type to make up make up for it's weaknesses.

[He takes a sip of his coffee before adding.]

If you're traveling alone, you should definitely stock up on Repels. You don't want to tire your pokemon out too much against weaklings.

[it's like they're on a date togetherNO IT ISN'T.]

Wise words. I shall stock up on those types as soon as they are available to me. Fire, Rock, Psychic.

[sip sip.]

That would be annoying, to fight so many weaklings. Even they run out of use after a while.

[Hon hon hon hon hon -]

You could probably pick up a good Rock type in the cave on the junction of Route 30 and 31. Watch out, though; the Geodudes are pretty easy to trip over.

[France watches her over the brim of his cup, eyes upturned in amusement.]

The amount of experience your pokemon get from those substantially weaker than them isn't worth the effort. I keep telling Marianne that, but I think she wants to eat them.

I don't trip. I am far more observant and careful than most pathetic people.

[But she does nod, showing she is listening and memorizing this info.]

As long as it doesn't bother me in any way, I allow mine to do as he pleases to whatever Pokemon he sees, within limits.

A powerful trainer will have a balanced team of six Pokemon that is prepared to fight any of the 17 types. That is, one Pokemon for every type-weakness and advantage that exists.

The highlights of each town tend to be the gyms. It is where trainers go to prove themselves as trainers.

The badges seem to have little significance other than acting as a marker for those trainers who have devoted themselves to training and battling. They also seem to make Pokemon obey you.

Potions, revives, and pokeballs are the essentials.

Is there anything else?

An uneven number... how disgusting.

[Silence, as she mentally makes notes of all of the information.]

I believe for now that is sufficient. The guide book is useful, but often it cannot be compared to actual experiences.

Uneven--?

[a pause]

The guidebook only helps beginners so much. You're correct; true learning does not occur until experience is gained.

Whoa... You already got your Weedle to evolve?!

[Video] redderbyrules December 6 2010, 00:42:56 UTC
It has evolved twice since last we spoke. That is what good training does.

No way... I thought they only had one form, not two of 'em.

It first evolved into a Kakuna at level seven, and then it evolved into Beedrill at level ten.

Team Rocket appears to be a terrorist organization. Their objective is to conquer the world using Pokemon.

Is that all? How unoriginal.

That's it.

Unoriginal? Add incompetent to that list! The leadership is completely lax and at times nonexistent! I ran my organization much better than this. Anyone could!

Then perhaps new management should be sought out.
