Day 06 - A Song That Reminds You Of Somewhere:
Click to viewThis song is driving home from my first night out with the love of my life. He'd given me this CD that night, and it was all I listened to all summer. This isn't my favorite song off of it, but the song is the reason he gave it to me. Said it described him. I'd have to agree.
Day 07 - A Song That Reminds You Of An Event:
This song is my grandfather's funeral. It was played on the bagpipes there in the church, and though it's one of the most painful memories I have, it is also one of the most beautiful.
Day 08 - A Song You Know All The Words To:
Um. Heh. I know all the words to more songs that I could possibly ever count. I chose this one because I loooove the Dire Straits, and I don't think it'll show up anywhere else in this meme. The video is cheesy, classic 80s you know, but the lyrics mean a lot to me. I dreamed your dream for you, and now your dream is real. Day 09 - A Song You Can Dance To:
Okay, I admit, I can't dance my way out of a paper bag. But who could go wrong with this? (It helps if I'm drunk and shedding clothes as I go.)
Day 10 - A Song That Makes You Fall Asleep:
I don't sleep to music and actually find it difficult to fall asleep when I can hear music at all. But I did used to lay in bed and listen to Pink Floyd and occasionally fall asleep. This song gave me some of the strangest dreams I've ever had. And the intro always kind of freaked me out for some reason... I guess it's kind of ironic the I'm using this as my 'sleep' song when it starts off with all sorts of alarm clocks.
Day 11 - A Song From Your Favorite Band:
This was a difficult one. My favorite band is most definitely The Eagles, but I had a hard time choosing a song. I didn't know whether to go with a more popular one, or a slightly obscure one. I can't pick one all-time favorite Eagles song, but... this one comes close. (I opted out of Desperado or Hotel California... for now.) Oh, another love has come and gone, and the years keep rushin' on. I remember what you told me before you ran out on your own: sometimes to keep it together, you gotta leave it alone. So you can get on with your search, baby, and I can get on with mine. And maybe someday we will find... that it wasn't really wasted time...
Day 12 - A Song By A Band That You Hate:
Okay, I admit. I didn't listen to this song. I don't even know what it is. I picked the first 'Frank Zappa' thing to pop up on YouTube, because I think I'd rather... bathe in styrofoam than listen to Frank Zappa. And styrofoam makes me want to hide in my closet and cry. (no, really.)
Day 13 - A Song That Is A Guilty Pleasure:
This song SO is not my style, but... I love it. I tried not to, but I can't help it. Plus, it's... kinda.. about me. lol. She's watchin' wrestling, creaming over tough guys, listenin' to hair* metal, turn tables in her eyes...

Day 14 - A Song No One Would Expect You To Love:
A song with rap in it that I can actually listen to? With such stupid lyrics? Yep, I love it. And I've even been known to sing along to the rap part. This song is one of the old 'drunken brawls' at my dad's house, with everyone sitting around drinking and singing along.
Day 15 - A Song That Describes You:
Billy Joel writes songs about me a lot. And no, I'm not the virginal Catholic girl... I'm the rebel trying to get her to give it up. ;) You've heard I run with a dangerous crowd, we ain't too pretty, we ain't too proud.
