Oh Jesus fuck.

I have no advice except to fight that shit like crazy when you manage to get to court. Beacause that is some bullshit. Any judge who is not a total fucking shitforbrains will realize this is not your fault in any way, shape, or form.

That cop is fucking dickhead.

Call a lawyer. Now. Seriously. Gather up all the paperwork having to deal with the accident and with your hospital stay so that you have proof of everything that happened to you. Gather up the paperwork from your insurance provider, or call them and inform them of the problem, especially if you made a claim with them about your car. There is no way they can prove that you didn't have proof of insurance with you if both your car and purse have been destroyed/lost in a wreck that bad. And keep in mind that you don't have to pay a lawyer a single red cent, not even for consultations, unless your case is won.

Wow! What a tard! I would call the police station and TELL THEM to look up your name and license number and they can SEE that you had insurance at the time of the accident. Why can't you do that instead? I don't understand why they can't just look the fucking information up? Then I would call a lawyer and sue the fucking town for unlawful suspension of your license. That is bullshit! I'd also CALL your insurance company and tell them what is happening as well!!! They would know if your car was covered at the time of the accident too!!

She's not in trouble necessarily for not having insurance at all, but for having no PROOF of insurance on her person. You have to carry proof of insurance with you whenever you're driving a vehicle you own. A few years ago, for example, I had to pay a fine cuz my proof of insurance was expired. My policy wasn't, but the piece of paper was.

It should be right on her registration card.. oh wait.. they couldn't find her purse. I forgot *snort* so she's penalized b/c they're such assholes! What state does she live in? Cuz if they did that in Massachusetts.. that cop would've been laughed right out of court!!

I live in California. Insurance information isn't anywhere on the registration around here, though. I wish it was.. less paperwork to keep track of!

Hopefully, that cop will be laughed right out of court. I went to the county clerk today and got my license reinstated until my trial date next month. Even the county clerk scoffed and said, "oh, that's ridiculous. That guy must've had a quota to hit, or something."

So, next month, I plan to go into court with my proof of insurance, $46,000 hospital bill, and pictures of my crushed car. Any judge with a double digit IQ will laugh in the cop's face, and I'll be on my merry way.

Let's hope karma is on my side that day.
