poor thing! i'm sorry! it's really not that hazardous a neighborhood, i don't think, but carpooling or going to the party space and picking up an "escort" to walk back with might've felt nicer. Yeah, i also get into Not Social or Can't Deal moods at times, and then it's hard to get out again. One time i drove halfway to Somerville before deciding i really wasn't up for attending a part and turning back :)

Well, i hope we get to see you another time soon! (hugs)

out of your element...?! tokyo_andrew November 13 2006, 06:31:32 UTC
sounds like you share the same anxiety issues as emi when dealing with a new situation. "it's all new! i'm nervous! what do i do?! where's the manual on this? can't I have a practice one? what if I FAIL?! or DIE of embarassment!"

almost everything you do of every moment is like that. you can be facing fear and dealing with the fear inside OR you can be enjoying the moment and dealing with the situation outside.

which do you want to be?
