That is positive! Whoo hoo!

Will you be asked to do a marrow drive?

I don't have any details on that yet. I don't even have a date for the initial consultation with the BMT doc. However, as my current treatments run through Jan 3rd and there will be a minimum amount of time required to allow the body to detoxify before attempting it I imagine this will be sometime in the middle or late Spring.

However, if there's a call for a drive I'll be sure everyone knows. I know a lot of you (and I would be, too) have been wanting to do something substantial to help. Registering with the BM donor's list would be HUGE. :)

Unrelated - I'll be at the show tonight for the first part (I mean it *is* lingerie night) but I won't be able to stay for the whole thing.

Let Eric and I know and we'll go get the BM test - He just told me that this will hurt like a sonuvabitch, but you're worth it ;)

The test as I understand it is simply collecting a blood sample. But the actual donation (if you were to match someone) would be an admittedly uncomfortable surgery.

And thanks. Were our positions reversed I would take the same stance.

I've been meaning to do something like this for a while. Though, I'm sure my marrow will only do a 6 of 6 match with my siblings - who are as mixed as I am =D

They have some new procedures now that seem to be as effective, they just give you flu-like symptoms for a few days. Buffy's worth it either way, but good to know it would be less...
