Oz/Xander -
1sentenceI did these all in one night, 'cause I'm sad.
They are in both chronological order and set out as a story of sorts.
I apologise for any lack of cohesion.
Probably an R, maybe less.
#01 - Ring - The first ring of his cell had Xander jumping, but the smile on his face at the caller ID was firmly settled by the second.
#02 - Hero - When Oz idly mentioned that they were all heroes, Xander assumed he was excluded; when Oz repeated it personally on the way to class, that smile was back.
#03 - Memory - The first time Xander saw Oz it was at the Bronze; he couldn't keep his eyes off that short, sharp bass-player's twitching fingers as the music played.
#04 - Box - Oz's eyes were fixed far too knowingly on Xander as their arms pressed too close together and he would have squirmed away if they weren't so tightly boxed into this corner, hiding from the nearby fangs.
#05 - Run - Ever full of grace, Oz had to help an embarrassed Xander back onto his clumsy feet after a particularly spectacular tumble during a mad dash from a fight.
#06 - Hurricane - Xander thought the howling wind was a hurricane at the very least and was quite ready to panic until a warm, strangely comforting hand was pressed to his forearm and Oz's gentle tones told him to relax.
#07 - Wings - Xander's heart stopped beating at the same time as those demon's wings - though Buffy had slain them, Oz lay wounded and unmoving just metres away.
#08 - Cold - He expected that pale skin to be as cold as the bite in the air but when his fingertips warmed on contact he could barely breathe with relief.
#09 - Red - Oz was healing quickly but his skin was almost constantly flushed scarlet in some kind of mystical fever.
#10 - Drink - All they could do was put everything on hold as they drank down the research, scanning constantly over everything to find out just what could cure their friend.
#11 - Midnight - Xander offered to stay with Oz one night to keep a watchful eye on him, and as midnight struck, he was still awake with his hand pressed to Oz's smaller one, doing all he could to keep the feverish man calm.
#12 - Temptation - Oz's lips were flushed and parted; Xander thought that maybe one kiss wouldn't hurt and gave in, the temptation to taste him just for a second far too sudden and intense to ignore.
#13 - View - When Xander pulled back, he was greeted to the view of those intense eyes open and fixed on him; he couldn't think what to say and, as flustered as he was, excused himself despite knowing how much trouble he'd be in for leaving him alone the next morning.
#14 - Music - Oz's music spoke more about his personality than his own words and that was probably why Xander's ears were suddenly bombarded by these strange new sounds.
#15 - Silk - Xander's eyes wouldn't leave Oz's fingers as they brushed so lightly, so softly over Willow's new silken top, wishing for all he was worth - which he didn't believe to be even close to enough - that the affection would one day be directed at him.
#16 - Cover - Just when Xander was sure that the newly recovered Oz had forgotten him, his cover of innocence was blown with that careful, intense and thoughtful stare in his direction.
#17 - Promise - "Say you'll kiss me again," said Oz, and the sincerity in Xander's smile was all he needed.
#18 - Dream - For the slow moment between having open eyes and closed eyes, Xander's vision blurred and the colours matched the dreamlike feel of pressing his lips against Oz's.
#19 - Candle - He was in Oz's room again with the candles and the incense and everything else that seemed so perfectly Oz-like, and he stared at the flickering flames without really seeing them because that weight beside him was one he'd been longing for.
#20 - Talent - With his limited experience Xander wasn't sure, but he thought maybe Oz had a bit too much talent because this kiss was leaving him tingly and breathless.
#21 - Silence - He was used to hearing the silence around him, but for once it was comfortable and not just weird, even if he knew they'd have to keep quiet for the longest time about what they'd done.
#22 - Journey - When Xander first met Oz, he was nothing but a bumbling fool, but with the occasionally-redhead's gentle words and encouragement he was slowly becoming something more, something better than that.
#23 - Fire - Being around Oz struck up a fire in the lovestruck scoobie and he had to be so, so careful not to burn around Willow.
#24 - Strength - Oz was stronger than he looked, apparently; despite Xander being so much larger than him, he couldn't shift from his pinned position on his bedroom floor.
#25 - Mask - Oz was smiling as he gazed down at that perfect mask of pleasure Xander held close as he writhed beneath him.
#26 - Ice - Xander wasn't sure why he kissed Willow, but he was sure he regretted it the instant later when he felt Oz's icy glare.
#27 - Fall - Cordelia's fall brought so much home; predominantly that their relationships were the biggest mess ever to hit Sunnydale - which was certainly saying something - and it really had to stop.
#28 - Forgotten - Xander had forgotten how impossible it was to get over a person as amazing as Oz.
#29 - Dance - He danced with Anya, imagining a firmer, more masculine body pressed up against his own.
#30 - Body - He thought he loved Anya, now, but when he let his mind and hands wander over her beautiful body, he always seemed surprised at the curves and after a while he almost forgot why.
#31 - Sacred - He proposed because he believed what they had was sacred, but though he rarely thought of anyone but her anymore, there was something dark and unholy settled in the back of his mind and it just wouldn't go away.
#32 - Farewells - Though he was gone, Oz wasn't forgotten; on the night before Xander's wedding he went to the Bronze just to see where it began and where, now, it would end.
#33 - World - The end of their world had always been run of the mill but this was different; this was the start of a shakier world than he'd ever known.
#34 - Formal - Willow said that it's a good thing she's gay, what with the formal wear, and that rang a few truths home he'd been trying to forget about himself.
#35 - Fever - After all that time in the rain, just walking until he had nowhere left to step, his skin burned and reminded him of that first kiss, lust-filled lips pressing against the feverish ones.
#36 - Laugh - It was so amazing to have his Oz back - the werewolf having decided to take a visit at the strangest and best of moments - that the bubble of happiness in his chest erupted in a pathetic chuckle that had him half stumbling into the smaller frame.
#37 - Lies - "I'm okay," said Xander.
#38 - Forever - They were in Oz's van which he apparently still had, warming up and drying off with the beat of the rain heavy on the metal roof, and it felt like forever since he'd laid eyes on that far too pretty face.
#39 - Overwhelmed - He didn't believe it was true - it just couldn't be true - but when Oz was offering comforting words in a longer sentence than he'd ever heard him utter before, it all seemed that bit more real.
#40 - Whisper - "I never forgot you," Oz said, his voice barely audible as he leant in closer to Xander.
#41 - Wait - Xander was in no rush and neither was Oz; as they drove, neither of them cared where they were going as long as they got there eventually.
#42 - Talk - Of course both had a lot to say and mostly at the end of it, Xander was reeling at how much he'd heard from Oz.
#43 - Search - The end of the mess they'd created was nowhere in sight but, for once, Xander was loving it.
#44 - Hope - When Oz's eyes glinted with something he hadn't seen for a long time, he could hardly surpress the mad hope that maybe this was for real.
#45 - Eclipse - They were alone and they were content; the harsh glare of reality was eclipsed so perfectly by the gentle kisses.
#46 - Gravity - Xander held Oz to him as tightly and jealously as the Earth holds on to the Moon, and Oz's stoic face was lit up in a smile.
#47 - Highway - After such a long time sleeping in the van on the side of the road, the comfort of Oz's New York appartment felt strange and alien.
#48 - Unknown- With nothing to do (except Oz) and nowhere to go (except to Oz) in this new city, Xander spent most of the time worshipping Oz's perfect skin, mapping it all out until he knew every inch and every reaction.
#49 - Lock - It was the key Oz gave him that made that place truly home.
#50 - Breathe - They could, at last, breathe; after the traumatic call to Anya, Xander was finally completely and utterly Oz's and that was all that mattered anymore.
