Watching a Clock That's Ticking Away my Time

Who: Scott, Jess, Alex, and possibly the parents
What: A surprise visit from the older brother, with a friend in tow.

The drive wasn't as long and tedious as it usually felt when he was on his own. Scott actually thought it was a nice change to have someone to talk to again, even if they didn't really talk about much of anything. Frankly, he was just concerned with getting to his younger brother's house and making sure he was okay. Trying to convince him to come stay with him for a while was another thing.
Driving the black cobalt into the driveway and putting it in park, he let out a breath. It was a little obvious he was nervous, but with the things that have been going on... Scott did think anyone could be truely calm. He looked over at Jess with a hopeful look before unbuckling his seatbelt and opening the car door. Taking a look at the house, he almost regretted not calling first incase no one was home.
"Ready?" He asked, turning back around. The question was more him asking himself, but it didn't hurt to direct it at her. Maybe he wasn't the only nervous one.
