Apartment #202 was currently vacant, so Leon decided it would be better to hold the meeting there, than have everyone descend onto Claire's place. The apartment was sparsely decorated with some chairs and a futon he managed to scrounge up. There wasn't much in the way of food or snacks (though there were some), but he wasn't here to host a party ( Read more... )

It takes Claire a little while to figure out where Leon was, but then she notices that he took the key to #202 from her board.

She comes downstairs balancing a stack of styrofoam trays, and bumps the door open with her ass. "I brought rijsttafels."

"...?" He doesn't ask right now, just gives her a bit of a weird look, and he also gives her a hand with the trays, taking some off her hands.

"Hey."

She kisses him once her hands are unoccupied, then takes one of the boxes and sits down to eat what's in it. It's lots of rice and meat and vegetables, and apparently, Claire hasn't eaten since last June.

Well, at least she is eating again. He takes that as a good sign.

He just smiles a bit at her and lets her eat in peace.

Becky finds her way up. She immediately regrets not bringing food, but yeah, that's really not what they were here for.

She takes a seat on the futon.

Claire, who is slowly working on a takeout container of rice and vegetables, nods a little at Becky.

Becky smiles at her.

"How are you feeling?"

Claire chews thoughtfully, then swallows.

"Really, really emo. But Amsterdam's actually kind of nice."

Surprisingly, Derek has managed to get this memo, and finds his way to the world, the building, and the door with a little difficulty, but not much.

He knocks politely.

((At work until 4:30 pm central, but will poke head in on and off during the day))

Leon answers the door for Derek, and greets him with a polite nod. He doesn't say much, he's not in a chatty mood at the moment.

Derek isn't much for talking at the moment either. He returns the gesture with a polite nod of his own, and slides into the apartment once Leon affords him enough room to do so. He's tanned and dusty, and smells like hot sand

As he winds his way to a corner, a shoulder holster and the occasional subdued silver flash of his 9mm can be seen from under his jacket.

Once to his chosen spot, he crouches, leaning back against the intersecting walls to watch and listen.

Eiko arrives, carrying a box with two covered plates on top of it, and a big plate wrapped in foil on top of THOSE.

She hrms, turns around, and thumps her head against the door three times.

Eiko smiles weakly. "Hi, Claire." She's still not quite comfortable again. "I brought food. All home-made."

She makes her way in, puts the box on the table, then takes the other stuff off of it. Then unwrapping begins: the foil-wrapped plate reveals garlic bread; the two covered platters are chicken parmesan and some kind of ravioli. The box is opened to let her pull out plates, knifes, forks and serving spoons.

The box continues to hold things, but she closes it and puts it next to a sofa.

Claire had dropped him a line earlier that there would be a meeting of current events, so of course, he came. Much more tan before, Billy waltzed up to the door where there seemed to be a collection of people waiting. Lowering his shades, he snorted.

"Looks like we have ourselves a party. Should I have brought a little pie and some chips or something?" He chuckled.

"Drinks, maybe," Claire says, and introduces Billy to anyone who he doesn't know.

"I have a cooler full of shit in the back of the truck; want me to grab it?" Billy smirked and pushed his sunglasses back over his eyes. As Claire introduced him to the people he didn't know, he gave a polite hand shake before wandering off to retrieve the booze.
