Unusual arctic goo on the ocean near Alaska - No one is quite sure what it is, except that its probably organic in nature

Sorry to spoil the fun, but they determined that it's algae.

They're still not sure how such a large bloom formed, but still, only so awesome...

As I said they thought it was biological. I figured it was something of that nature - but it still sounds like a horror movie opening.

The slime in the lake in Creepshow 2 is what sprang to my mind though Pirates of Dark Water was a great show.

I don't think I've had the pleasure? of seeing Creepshow, 1 or 2.

There was a catch phrase one of the Pirates used to say, that still comes back into my head to this day. :)

I thought both movies were quite good, but then I also like Tales of the Crypt which they sort of like (multiple vignettes of comic bookish horror).

Was the catch phrase "chunga lunga"?
