Butterick is making a pattern that includes sword frogs, bracers and "shoulder covers". While the frogs will not fit standard larp weapons, its rather interesting how mainstream this sort of thing has become - or alternatively, how pattern companies have figured out there's a demand there.

They seem pretty easily modified for boffers, too.

I suspected that - and really having a pre-done shape to work off of is really helpful - so in general, I think its a solid win.

I love that the medieval section of commercially available patterns has exploded in the last few years. So, so awesome.
