The longer i'm involved with 7V and go to various events related to it, the more I have become convinced we need a 7 Virtues recipe book...complete with in game like pictures and drawings, just to document and perserve all the truly marvelous food at the events and roleplay sessions ( Read more... )

I agree...I'm telling you, recipe book, perhaps with little character illustrations...I know I for one would support this. Plus I have had more good food at this larp than at any other (It helps I'm in a cabin full of bakers...)

All of the desserts were wonderful. It was sooooo hard picking a winner. I finally managed to narrow it down to a top three after a while. Then having to pick a "winner"? Do you have any idea how hard it is for a Compassion based person to have to decide on a "not winner" when all the contestants are awesome? :-p

I'm so glad that everyone liked the cake. I don't really care whether I won or not -- Seeing how much everyone liked it is prize enough for me and encouragement enough to bake for real again next time if I can free up the time... freeing up the hours needed to do a cake like that with 3 small children isn't the easiest thing in the world.

I would love to do a recipe book -- my one concern is that the recipe I used is out of a cookbook and thus copyrighted material, and although I don't worry about that when giving a recipe to a friend, I'm not sure about putting it in a book to be more widely distributed... any thoughts?

I loooooved the cake. I had to work so hard to pick a "winner", so hard because they were all winners. You might have noticed that I finished the cake while we were talking. Sooooo good. Well done.

Thanks -- I know you loved it. I saw your face when you took your first bite. Don't worry about me not winning -- I feel like I've already won because you and everyone else liked it so much.

Of course, this done mean I have to up my game next time..... :-)
